KAZB Focus Areas

Our Focuses Include...

Beautification and Community Greening: Improving the visual aspects of our communities through programs that beautify the environment, including community gardens, restoring vacant lots, highway and shoreline beautification urban forests, native and wildflower plantings, and graffiti prevention and abatement.

Litter Prevention: Defining litter, identifying the sources of litter, understanding why people litter, reducing litter by changing littering behavior, organizing cleanups and educations communities on proper disposal and handling options.

Waste Reduction and Recycling Practices: Reducing the impact of solid waste in our communities through integrated programs including responsible consumerism, source reduction, reuse, recycling, composting, and education about landfills and waste-to-energy.

We engage volunteers to create and accomplish programs or projects that make a positive visual impact while integrating sustainable daily practices and the most progressive concepts.
