Affiliate and Partner Connections Committee

This committee meets monthly. To participate email executivedirector@kazb.org

This committee strives to secure a statewide cohesive network of both certified affiliate groups that support Keep America Beautiful and groups or organizations that have parallel programs or similar focus areas to KAZB.

This committee will encourage others to join the KAZB network in order to make a greater impact throughout Arizona communities with cooperative campaigns and optimize resources.

This committee will plan and execute a statewide conference each September for affiliates and partners to hear speakers, learn from each other, benchmark programs, form alliances, and more!

Your participation on this committee will open your personal network to other community and organizations' leaders!

Environmental Stewardship Awards Luncheon Committee

Luncheon Committee Goals: To assist with the celebration of environmental stewardship efforts ranging from grassroots groups to exceptional corporate social responsibility practices that makes our state more sustainable.

This committee will accomplish this by recognizing and honoring environmental champions from the public and private sectors focused in the following areas: Educational Excellence; Individual and Corporate Action; Public Private Partnerships; Philanthropy and Volunteerism.

This committee will be responsible for event execution and soliciting sponsorships.

This event is held annually during the month of May.

Education and Programs Committee and Sub-Committees

This committee is currently focusing on the following themes and potential programs:

Beautification efforts along Historic Route 66

This sub-committee will concentrate on implementing programs that support community gardens and murals, streetscaping, litter prevention outreach, promoting walkable communities, Fun-Run and more!

Blight and Vacant Lots
This sub-committee will focus on identifying sites or replicating mapping, creating programs for temporary uses on lots such as public 'recycled' art pieces, community gardens, graffiti education, or more!

Community Outreach
This sub-committee will focus on providing appropriate information and literature for specific demographic areas or populations that could benefit from updated materials that demonstrate how to improve the immediate environment and environmental quality of Arizona in its entirety.

Illegal Dumping Prevention and Awareness
This sub-committee will focus on executing campaigns and programs that capture the volumes of illegally dumped items and show real pictures and hidden costs of the impact of illegal dumping.

Waste Minimization and Recycling Information
This sub-committee will focus on scheduling presentations or activities with interested parties. KAZB has several presentations available to work with businesses, groups, organizations, or schools that wish to learn alternative disposal practices or the impact of garbage in their immediate surroundings and beyond.

Resource Development Committee

Resource Development Goal: To secure ongoing financial stability for Keep Arizona Beautiful. ??This committee will accomplish this by analyzing programs or projects and seek partnerships that can elevate the foundation of this non-profit.

This committee will be focusing its immediate efforts on an exciting Arizona Specialty Personal License Plate campaign that will launch in 2012, which will fund the organization for years to come! To launch this campaign KAZB is seeking sponsorships until Nov. 1, 2011.
